Lorna works as a type of meditation during quiet times, creating little landscapes and worlds inspired by minute pattern, newspaper headlines, shapes in shadows and microscopic biological forms. She draw on space that would often be wasted: discarded packaging, scraps; pages of her diary where she didn’t write anything in. Her work marks the passage of time through repetition and compulsion, peeping at the world from a tiny viewpoint.
